Where do you get all your energy from?
That question is what Power & Performance Coach, Josefine Dolly gets asked most often. If you already know Josefine, you've guaranteed yourself the same question. In this edition of Carried by Her, Josefine gives you the answer to this.
I love high-level performance – when I feed my masculine energy and let it lead. But for that to even be possible, something essential needs to be in place. Something I find many women in high performance forget:
To fill themselves up. To step back and gently lean into feminine energy.
Because the truth is that masculine energy and high performance are not sustainable in the long run if we never visit our feminine energy – both women and men. If we never allow ourselves to just be, without performing.
Consciously, my days always start with feminine energy. I have a morning routine that makes most people open their eyes wide – but it works for me, and that's the most important thing, right?
Let me tell you – and maybe inspire you a little.
My perfect morning lasts three hours (yes, I get up between 4:30 and 5). Regardless of the weather or season, it starts with a trip to Dragør to jump in the waves.
For some, winter bathing is about proving they can overcome anything when they can endure the cold. For me, it's about connection – to myself, to my body, to my inner self. With my toes in the sand and the waves around me, I fall directly out of my head and into my body.
Afterwards, I go home, take a shower, make my coffee, and sit down with my journal. Here I always ask myself two questions – in love with myself:
-
How are you feeling?
-
How can you best support yourself today?
Regardless of whether my answer to the first is:
“I feel absolutely fantastic” or “My heart hurts today” –
question no. 2 gives me the opportunity to lift myself up. And from there, I can do what is my superpower.
Because like you, I also have a superpower. A superpower I actively choose – every single day.
If you haven't worked with journaling before, you are truly in for a treat. It's a simple, yet powerful tool that I would recommend everyone to get acquainted with.
